ROSCON DE REYES – January 4th, 5th and 6th.
The Roscón de Reyes is the Spanish traditional cake to celebrate The Three Kings day. It’s traditionally eaten on the night of January 5th and during January 6th.
According to the tradition, each roscón comes with a Nativity figurine, a crown and a bean, all hidden. Whoever gets the figurine gets to wear the crown and be the king, the not so lucky one who gets the bean should pay for the roscón.
Taberna del Alabardero is selling the Roscón de Reyes one more year in Washington DC to celebrate one of our great traditions with artisan roscones made by our Chef Carlos Gomez Segovia. Roscones need to be order in advance and can be picked up on January 4th, 5th and 6th. During those days we will also have roscón available for dessert at the restaurant for $11.
