Our family had a wonderful experience dining at La Taberna del Alabardero. Our DC trip centered on celebrating my wife's graduation and the choice to dine here was completely worth it. The service, the food, everything was delightful. The server was very helpful in recommending shareables and mixed drinks and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The food came out delicious and the atmosphere was something all seven of us will remember. Came for Sunday brunch and left very content. Will was the best server we’ve had at a restaurant in a long time. There was a bit of a wait fur our dishes but it was worth it. My partner had the eggs Benedict which she says is the Heather had. I had the braised ox tail on flat bread with egg which was very flavorful. Be mindful the sandwich is not big but it is satisfying. The eggs Benedict was a sizable portion. She got the French toast which was almost like a bread pudding. I had the waffles. Both were delicious. A wonderful dining experience at La Taberna del Alabardero. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, especially the variety of tapas, refreshing sangria, and delicious paella. Everything was flavorful and well-prepared, making it a great introduction to Spanish cuisine. The service was outstanding as well. Everyone was welcoming, friendly, and attentive, which made us feel right at home.

The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a spacious and elegant dining room that creates a lovely atmosphere for enjoying a meal with friends or family. It has a great balance of traditional Spanish charm and a refined dining experience. Overall, a fantastic restaurant with delicious food, excellent service, and a wonderful ambiance. Great experience! Our server Elmer went above and beyond! We had croquetas, solomillo, paella Valenciana, and Mil hojas de almendra. The food and drinks were perfect. Imagine all of that accompanied by flamenco music, a wonderful experience.
